Canal Boating
THE "AFT-DECK" PENICHETTES have a modern interior on two levels.
Forwards are the cabins and shower compartments, while to the stern is the living area with
saloon, galley, steering position and the aft deck. There are just three steps down to the
lower level. These boats are functional and easily handled. They are light and airy, and
generous headroom allows easy circulation.

INSIDE
- The front cabins have a double berth with an optional upper
pullman berth which can be installed by the base on request.
- The central cabins have a double berth.
- All cabins have a handbasin, hanging space and storage
- The shower and WC compartments all have a shower and WC,
while one of the two on board has a handbasin as well. The P1500Rs have separate WC and
shower compartments.
- The saloon. The extensive glass area, the twin sunroofs
and the sliding glass doors to the alt deck ensure plenty of light and air. The raised
steering position set well hack in the hull offers excellent visibility. The helmsman
is never isolated, remaining do se to his crew whether they are inside or on deck. The
cooking area has a refrigerator, a cooker with oven and 3 burners, a sink and storage.
The table and chairs can also be used on the aft deck. The bench seats fold out to make
a double bed.

ON DECK
- The aft deck is spacious, with built-in U-shaped seating.
The roof overhang protects you from sun and rain alike, while there is lighting or those
warm summer nights.
- The sun deck is wide and flat. Use it for sunbathing, for
eating and or storing bicycles. At the bows there is a bench seat with a "bistro" style
table.
- Moving around the boat is easy thanks to wide Side decks
and sturdy guard rails It's easy to get ashore from either the sides or the stern of
the boat. One of the great advantages of a Pénichette is the low side-deck at
the same height as the bank, with a gangplank to make things easier still.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
- The "Aft-deck" Pénichette powered by diesel engines of from
28 to 50 hp.
- 12 volt electricity is provided from dual engine-driven alternators.
On the dashboard is a 12 V power point (for mobile phone, camcorder etc) Hot and cold
water are pressurised.
- Hot water is provided by a heat exchanger on the engine.
- Each boat has twin gas-fired forced air heating systems.
- The "Aft-Deck" Pénichettes have a radio-cassette fitted in
the saloon.
