Celebration of Art, Music, and Culture Tour
19 June 2010 (Paris) to 8 July 2010 (Dubrovnik)
This tour has been especially designed to incorporate a variety of musical, operatic, and ballet performances taking place in Europe next June 2010, as well as seeing some of the greatest art works the world has ever seen. These performances have given us the framework to build a tour incorporating glorious scenery, breath-taking buildings, ageless culture, and fascinating stories.

In Paris we will meet on 19 June 2010 before experiencing the exciting Fete de la Musique – a day where music is celebrated on every street corner, in every church and in every concert hall. We will then travel to northern Italy where we will stay on the picturesque Lake Como, attend the ballet Romeo and Juliet and visit Da Vinci’s “Last Supper” in Milan. We will then sit in the Roman arena in Verona to experience the opera Aida before visiting the architectural and artistic splendours of Padova, Vicenza and Ravenna before settling in to our glorious home overlooking the Rialto Bridge in Venice. |
From Venice we will travel to the north of Croatia to the seaside resort town of Opatija before driving through to Diocletian’s town of Split. Then we will travel along the famous coastline to the most photographed town of Dubrovnik. From here we will venture for a day in to the country of Montenegro to experience a very different part of Europe. |
Even though we will be celebrating art and music through this tour, it will also be a chance to hear stories and experience culture throughout the ages, throughout the centuries. The tour will also will take you on a journey from plates of garlic snails in Paris, to poached perch from Lake Como, to risotto in Venice, and to octopus salad on the seafront in Dubrovnik until 8 July 2010. Something for everyone! I hope that you can join me!
