WINE TRAILS OF CHAMPAGNE
Until the late 1800s Champagne was known for the red wine it produced, then thanks to the work of some local monks the process of putting “bubbles” into the bottles was discovered and developed. Now this rich country opens our eyes to the king of wines, as well as exposing ourselves to the history of France. It was over these fields that Joan of Arc marched in order to crown the new King of France, over these fields too that Napoleon went to battle, and it was over this land that some of the worst fighting of World War 1 took place. This trail helps expose us to all these wonderful treats!
